DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced SharePoint Specialist to join our federal Government Client team. The SharePoint Online Migration Specialist is responsible for planning, leading, and executing the migration of content from on-premises SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint Online. This includes configuring SharePoint Online environments, migrating content seamlessly, and identifying and resolving any issues or errors encountered throughout the migration process.
 
Role responsibilities
  • Lead and execute content migrations from file shares and on-premises SharePoint environments to SharePoint Online using tools such as Sharegate.
  • Provide technical support throughout the migration process, troubleshoot issues, and interpret migration reports to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Assess complex environments, identify potential risks, and remediate errors and issues encountered during migration.
  • Design and implement clear information architecture, including site structures, permission models, and governance frameworks aligned with business and compliance requirements
  • Configure SharePoint Online environments to ensure secure and efficient content management, including site setup, permissions, and user access controls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure seamless integration of SharePoint Online with other enterprise systems and alignment with organisational goals
Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Online
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript for client-side development
  • Strong expertise in SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and PnPjs.
  • Familiarity with migration tools such as ShareGate.
  • Experience working with InfoPath and SharePoint Designer to assess and redevelop legacy forms and workflows for SharePoint Online
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory for authentication and user management
  • Skilled in developing custom solutions using Power Automate
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
