Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor strategies supporting workforce training, apprenticeships, trainees, and long-term employment pathways.
- Promote diversity and inclusion across employment and training initiatives, including First Nations peoples, culturally diverse groups, young people, and women.
- Support initiatives that maximise local business, SME, and social enterprise participation.
- Collaborate with alliance and government stakeholders to enhance First Nations business and employment opportunities.
- Champion cultural awareness, ethical supply chain practices, and community benefit programs.
- Provide audit, reporting, and compliance support across State Government frameworks.
You will bring proven expertise in implementing social outcomes, local benefits, and workforce development initiatives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Experience in construction, infrastructure, or large-scale government projects will be highly regarded.
You will also demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of Queensland Government social procurement and workforce policies.
- Experience in designing and delivering workforce participation or training programs.
- Strong understanding of the QPP, QIPP, Modern Slavery Act and other related frameworks.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong written skills with the ability to prepare reports, plans, and strategic documentation.
- Ability to collaborate, innovate, and deliver outcomes within a multidisciplinary environment.
