APS 3 Legal Support Officer
The Legal Support Team provides a range specialist and general administrative support services to Federal Prosecutors. The team is focused on delivering timely, quality services to support the day-to-day needs of the legal practice and has a physical presence in each CDPP office.

Duties of APS 3

Duties of APS 3
- Case Administration activities – creation and administration of case files, photocopying, filing, data entry, meeting administration, records management (including archiving).
- Witness Coordination – drafting summons/subpoenas, liaison (e.g. providing updates), arranging travel and other related tasks.
- Case Preparation – preparing materials, lodging/filing documentation, conducting basic research activities, video conferencing and arranging interpreters and translators.
- Case Liaison – liaising with Federal Prosecutors, external agencies, courts and counsel.
- Building rapport and maintaining internal and external relationships.
- Responding to enquiries and providing accurate advice in a timely manner.
- Identifying and escalating issues to senior staff members
- Undertaking appropriate learning and development activities as required.
- Strong focus on delivery in professional services environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to respond flexibly and positively to work changes and shifting priorities.
- Good time management skills.
- Good collaboration skills – within team and internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound application of judgement, initiative and drive.
- Sound communication skills.
- Applicants must hold Australian citizenship.
- Ability to obtain baseline clearance
