Job description

We are seeking experienced APS4 Administration Support Officers for a Federal Government department, several positions available. The positions are contracted until August 2024 with a possible 12 month extension, and the department is located in Greenway ACT.

APS4 Administration Support Officers provide administrative and operational support to the business teams, working under the support and general direction of senior staff. 
 
Duties may include some or all of the following:
  • Apply the relevant policies, procedures and guidelines to progress applications. 
  • Provide administrative support to the team and/or work area  
  • Prepare and edit letters and notices sent to applicants, nominees and institutions. 
  • Code application information in Case Manager, keeping accurate and comprehensive records. 
Skills and Attributes required:
  • Write, edit and proof-read 
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in transposing information from software & database systems to approved document templates 
  • Using HP Content Manager for the secure keeping of information and documents 
  • Apply established criteria and make accurate evidence-based decisions
  • Use appropriate judgement, analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Manage time and plan own workload against performance expectations and apply attention to detail
  • Communicate in an effective way
  • Develop knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures and information management requirements
  • Display relevant computer literacy skill
  • Work in and adapt to a changing environment
  • Apply high ethical standards, confidentiality and discretion and consistently practice relevant government privacy, ethics and workplace health and safety and security protocols
Baseline security clearance is a requirement for this role or the ability to obtain.
