Job description

  • Federal Government opportunity in Surry Hills
  • 12-month contracts with the possibility of extension
  • $42.54 per hour + super
Out Federal Government Client is currently seeking an APS4 Executive Assistant to join their Surry Hills Team.

The Executive Assistant will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge and may be required to undertake some research and analysis activities.

This role will require a strong and resilient professional who is able to effectively manage a range of complex activities and tasks while having a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Completing operational and/or administrative tasks of moderate complexity or difficulty.
  • Diary and email management, responding to changing priorities and timeframes.
  • Preparing replies to correspondence, briefing material and handling confidential papers.
  • Scheduling meetings and preparing documentation for committees and projects.
  • Undertaking research and investigations as requested.
  • Coordinating official meetings, travel arrangements and official functions on behalf of the branch, Regional Manager, and other Agency staff.
  • Providing high level administrative support on personnel and financial matters within the Agency.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
  • Ability to synthesise and analyse information and make decisions.
  • Ability to review data and undertake research and analysis of data.
  • Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
  • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability.
