Job description

The Opportunity:
 
We are currently seeking Performance and Talent Officers at the APS4 and 5 equivalent level to join this federal government department in either Richmond or Geelong on a temporary 12-month assignment.
 
Working alongside the Workforce and Capability Branch, you would be supporting the Agency to determine resource requirements. You will work in a team membership position and support performance and talent deliverables Agency-wide. The position will provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Providing support and overseeing continuous improvement programs that recognise service and performance
  • Coordinating the end-to-end annual awards projects, including, communicating, managing and driving nominations, judging panels, organising events, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
  • Preparing recognition reports for senior management and other ad hoc divisional reporting
  • Responding to recognition related queries through shared team inboxes
  • Overseeing internal communications of recognition plans, ensuring relevant communication channels are updated, including, intranet, guides, resources and tools.
  • Support the Graduate Program including coordination of graduates and activities, administering program communications
  • Support the talent lifecycle by preparing supporting materials for talent assessments
About you:

The APS4 and 5 Performance and Talent Officer will have considerable level of contact with internal stakeholders, requiring communication across a range of matters.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Possess sound relationship management and engagement experience, strong negotiation and liaison skills and superior communications, as well as administrative and organisational skills in a human service delivery context.
  • Well-develop oral and written skills and the ability to develop communication materials
  • Demonstrated flexibility and experience working in a complex and changing environment
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high pressure situations
