Job description

  • 12-month contract with possible extension
  • APS5 – $55.24/hr + Super | APS6 – $60.26/hr + Super
A large Federal Government Agency is seeking experienced APS5 and APS6 Business Analysts to join their performance and data analytics team. This team plays a key role in supporting continuous improvement through data modelling, performance reporting, and forecasting. This is a great opportunity to contribute to impactful work in a collaborative and data-driven environment.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Extract, analyse, and present data using Excel, SAS, and Salesforce
  • Build, refine, and maintain complex forecasting and projection models
  • Produce reports, visualisations, and insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Interpret performance trends within business and operational contexts
  • Apply statistical modelling to support performance analysis and monitoring
Essential Criteria:
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas)
  • Solid understanding of forecasting and statistical modelling techniques
  • Experience with SAS data libraries and reporting tools
  • Ability to link data insights to operational and strategic outcomes
  • Familiarity with Salesforce analytics or other BI reporting platforms
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
