APS5 Recruitment Advisor – multiple vacancies
  • $79,169 - $86,763 plus 15.4% superannuation  
  • City Office with Hybrid with Flexible Work Options
  • s26 or New Hire – Non-ongoing contract – 12 months + 6 months
  • National Police Check + Baseline Clearance
About the role:
My client has multiple vacancies for suitably experienced Recruitment Advisors at the APS5 level. These positions are available as s26 transfers or as new hires for non-ongoing roles on 12-month contracts with a possible 6 month extension. Successful candidates will be selected to work within 1 of three streams; Surge Recruitment, Onboarding or Labour Hire.
  • Surge Recruitment supports the Senior Recruitment Officer in the administration of matters relating to Surge Recruitment including the CDRO Program within the People Branch, including participating in section planning for short term tasks and work area planning for longer term initiatives. The role is responsible for undertaking work that is moderately complex to complex in nature, under limited direction, utilising expertise within the area of recruitment and administrative processes.
  • Onboarding supports the Onboarding team to manage the engagement of employees within the Agency. The role sits within the Recruitment Section of the People Branch and works collaboratively with teams across the Section and Branch. The role is responsible for undertaking work that is moderately complex to complex in nature, under limited direction. The Recruitment Advisor, Onboarding is expected to maintain a well-developed understanding of relevant policies and legislation and establish treatments to mitigate issues they have identified. The role will liaise with internal and external stakeholders and utilise technical expertise to provide advice and manage change within the area of Recruitment and Onboarding.
  • Labour Hire supports the Assistant Director, Labour Hire to manage the engagement of Labour Hire Services during electoral event periods within the Agency. The role sits within the Recruitment Section of the People Branch and works collaboratively with teams across the Section, Branch and Agency. The role is responsible for undertaking work that is moderately complex to complex in nature, under limited direction. The Contracts Administrator, Labour Hire is expected to maintain a well-developed understanding of relevant policies and legislation and establish treatments to mitigate issues they have identified. The role will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders and utilise technical expertise to provide advice and manage change leading up to and during electoral events.
About You:
You’ll have well aligned working history with Government experience or an understanding of APS Recruitment. You are a self-starter, process orientated, have high-attention to detail, work well in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines and demonstrate flexibility.
As the Recruitment Advisor-Surge Recruitment, you will;
  • Lead the administrative function for surge recruitment programs including drafting minutes, organise working group meetings, and maintaining project registers and documentation as required.
  • Provide guidance and support to key areas for administering invoices, timesheets, allowances and travel.
  • May be required to supervise a team to ensure high quality outputs, including identifying training needs within the team.
  • It’s a plus if you have relevant qualifications in management, business, public administration or similar. And knowledge of Australian electoral law, the relevant enterprise agreement, and the Public Service ACT 1999.
As the Recruitment Advisor-Onboarding, you will;
  • Have sound knowledge of recruitment policies, procedures and practices and experience in managing onboarding activities through ServiceNow and Aurion.
  • Manage workflow of the team, including allocating ServiceNow tickets to effectively meet objectives within timeframes.
  • Assist the Senior Recruitment Advisor, Onboarding to manage team reporting, intranet guidance and team guidance material.
  • Maintain strong understanding of internal policies, including the Enterprise Agreement and any relevant Determinations.
  • Provide consistent technical advice on the management of onboarding and recruitment activities. Including sound knowledge of recruitment systems, Aurion and relevant policies, guidelines and legislation.
  • It’s a plus if you have knowledge of Australian electoral law.
As the Contracts Administrator-Labour Hire, you will;
  • Sound knowledge of labour hire and recruitment policies, procedures and practices and experience in provisioning through AusTender, ServiceNow and TechnologyOne.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities across a number of different programs/ projects within tight timeframes and in line with legislative requirements.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst anticipating stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff while developing capabilities, encouraging career development and promoting professionalism.
  • In consultation with relevant stakeholders, design and implement processes to support the engagement of Labour Hire Services leading up to and during electoral events.
  • It’s a plus if you have relevant qualifications and/or at least 3 years’ experience working in recruitment and/or procurement administration. Along with knowledge of Australian electoral law.
