Position: Budget Officer
Location: East Perth
Type: Full-time, 6-month assignment

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Budget Officer to join one of our government clients based in East Perth, working full time on 6-month assignment. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial administration skills, who can support various budget and project management functions.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

As a Budget Officer, you will be responsible for:
• Creating and managing projects within a computerised system, ensuring proper coordination, review, and quality checks.
• Conducting budget baselining by reviewing Directorate/Branch budgets for consistency and adequacy.
• Processing invoice coding and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Tracking revenue funding sources to support financial reporting.
• Ensuring data quality by reviewing project attributes for consistency across internal systems.

About You
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced spreadsheet and data management skills.
• Experience in financial administration, including budgeting, invoicing, and project finance support.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Previous experience in a government or public sector environment.
• Knowledge of financial management software and systems.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
