Job description

DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Cloud & Enterprise Platforms Architect to engage on a permanent contract with a commercial client.  

Position: Cloud and Enterprise Platforms Architect  

Start Date: Immediate  

Location: Bentley WA  

Hours per week: Full Time 

Salary: Candidates will be submitted at the rate of their choosing based on relevant experience and suitability for the role. 

Travel: Occasional travel within regional Western Australia 

Role Purpose: 
The Cloud & Enterprise Platforms Architect is crucial in collaborating with business and technology teams to align strategies and outcomes with cloud services and enterprise platforms architecture. The Architect will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and governing architecture standards, reference architectures, and strategic roadmaps. Additionally, the role involves advising and guiding project teams to ensure alignment with established architecture principles. 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders. 
  • Create and manage Cloud Services and Enterprise Platforms architecture, ensuring it aligns with business and technology strategies. 
  • Lead the development of Centres for Excellence in relevant domains. 
  • Provide strategic advice and conduct architecture impact assessments for business and technology initiatives. 
  • Drive cloud adoption, offering solution options and training opportunities. 
  • Contribute to improving architecture capabilities and support the development of sustaining asset management plans. 
Qualifications and Experience: 
  • Essential: Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or related fields. AWS and Microsoft Cloud Certifications, TOGAF 9 Certification. At least 10 years of IT industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years as an architect specializing in cloud services and platforms. 
  • Desired: Experience in the Energy & Utilities industry, Agile certification, Service or Project Management certifications.
