Job description

Position: Communications Officer
 
DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Communications Officer to engage on a temporary contract with a Federal Government agency based in Perth WA.

Start Date: ASAP
Estimated End Date: 3/06/2024 (6 week contract with possibility of extension)
Location: Perth WA
Hours: 40 hours per week Pay Rate: $60.00 - $62.00 per hour plus Superannuation

Role Description: As part of the Export Instructional Material team, you'll play a vital role in crafting instructional material to support export staff in regulatory duties. Working within the Export Regulatory Stewardship Branch, you'll collaborate with subject matter experts and utilise departmental templates to produce clear, concise, and structured content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop instructional material, including processes, procedures, and supporting documentation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with content owners and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with editing and refinement of instructional material.
  • Support team functions through reporting and administrative tasks as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a focus on clarity and structure.
  • Proficiency in document editing, with experience in instructional material editing preferred.
  • Strong client engagement skills and a commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively to meet team and organisational objectives.
  • Quick learner with adaptability to new systems and tasks.
  • High level of personal integrity and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with document management work flows is advantageous.
  • Must be a current Australian Citizen.
