EL1 Senior Business Analyst 
  • $950 / Daily Rate + Super
  • ACT location
  • 12-month contract, (possible 2 x 6-month extension)
About the role
The role will be accountable under broad direction to perform very complex work that provides detailed technical and professional business analysis, system analysis, and design changes that align with the vision and strategic direction of the Agency. This role will support the delivery of actions and projects in the Connecting Australian Healthcare – National Healthcare Interoperability Plan 2023-2028 priority areas and digital health-related work.

Duties
  • Be able to perform a leadership role by working closely with internal and external stakeholders including the council for connected care and gaining an understanding of business processes, technical infrastructure, technical services, strategic roadmap, and in the context in which the Agency operates.
  • Be able to conduit between the business units and internal stakeholders that will include the IT business management, solutions development, and solutions implementation functional teams within the Agency and with relevant stakeholders from the health sector.
  • Recommend strategic directions considering wider agency implications, manage competing priorities, and contribute significantly to innovation and business improvement.
  • Lead the analysis of the business needs for a complex portfolio overseeing tasks, priorities, and workflow dependencies whilst facilitating contributions through workshops and feedback systems for a consultative and coordinated solution co-design.
  • Coordinate impactful projects affecting strategic, political, or operational outcomes whilst planning and monitoring work processes, direct quality assurance practices and building team capability through coaching, feedback, and career development.
Desired Experience  
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience working as a business analyst on healthcare projects or government policy projects is an advantage.
  • Scrum or Agile training and qualifications.
  • Ability to build and maintain constructive working relationships, working across multiple teams.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
