Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Injury Management and Wellbeing Advisor for a part-time opportunity in their Fremantle office.  

Title: Injury Management & Wellbeing Advisor  

Rate: $54.83 per hour plus Super 

Hours: Part-time - 24 hours - flexible to choose preferred days / hours 

Start: ASAP notice periods considered 
Duration: 6 months 
Location: Fremantle, WA 
Type: Casual temporary contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate) 

About the role: 
Reporting to the Principal Safety Advisor, the Injury Management & Wellbeing Advisor provides an efficient, timely and accurate service to employees assisting in the coordination of the Workers Compensation and Injury Management program and Health & Wellbeing program. 

Key duties include: 
  • Assist in the management of workers compensation and injury management in accordance with legislation and policy.
  • Liaise with injured employees, managers/supervisors, doctors, rehabilitation providers, WorkCover and insurer to ensure effective claims management.
  • Assist in the development of return-to-work plans and injury management strategies for injured/ill employees.
  • Compile reports on injury and illness statistics. 
  • Coordinate initiatives within the health and wellbeing program such as flu vaccinations, skin checks etc. 
  • Update the intranet with relevant health and wellbeing information and events. 
Qualifications, Experience & Skills 
  • Well-developed knowledge and experience in managing Workers Compensation & Injury Management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team environment.
  • Proven record of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong computer literacy skills e.g. Microsoft Office and other applications.
  • A current Driver’s Licence.
