About the role
We are seeking high-performing and motivated IT and Project Support Officer with a passion for problem solving, business improvement and collaboration. This assignment is until 15th September 2023 with a possibility of 12-month extension.
As an IT and Project Support Officer (APS5) your specific duties include:
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the day-to-day operations, delivery of an enterprise-wide enquiry management project and IT enhancements.
  • Identify problems, work to resolve them and maintain excellent networks to achieve the deliverable.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and lead by example in challenging circumstances.
  • Perform analysis and preparing documentation/reports alongside support the development and maintenance of a suite of policies and procedures.
  • Provide surge capacity support for the Enquiry Management Unit.
  • Contribute to standardised communications and knowledge base articles. 
 
Skills and Experience
A National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 6 months) will be required for the successful candidate.
Australian Citizenship is essential.
 
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and has an aptitude for collaboration and negotiation with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Poses high attention to detail and a focus on delivery in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of computer literacy and the ability to acquire technical working knowledge of IT systems quickly.
  • Posses a well-developed project support, administrative, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise multiple tasks, respond positively and flexibly to change, and produce quality outputs.
  • Have an ability to create a collaborative and innovative environment to foster continuous improvement and a positive culture within the team.
  • Experience in handling IT Projects and having an understanding or background in a regulatory framework, medicine or science, or the ability to quickly acquire such knowledge will be desirable
  • Technical experience working with IT systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar will be desirable
