Job Title: Level 6 Senior Internal Auditor
Employer: DFP Recruitment client
Position Type: 3 month Casual Temporary Contract
Pay Rate: Competitive
Location: Osbourne Park, WA 6017
Role Overview: As a proactive member of the Internal Audit & Integrity team, you promote Finance’s values and objectives, foster a positive, inclusive culture, and deliver high-quality, customer-centric audit and consultancy services.

Key Responsibilities;
  • Demonstrate Finance’s values in all interactions to contribute towards an innovative, customer focused, high-performing and values-led organisational culture, including actively identifying opportunities to build positive organisational culture.
  • Reinforce departmental objectives, and customer needs in work activities to inspire excellence.
  • Encourage an environment that enables members to flourish, embrace diversity, flexibility and opportunity to deliver fit-for purpose services aligned with Finance objectives.
  • As a member of the Internal Audit & Integrity team, demonstrate initiative and be accountable for your work outputs and proactively encourage efforts of the team.
  • Participate in and embrace coaching, feedback and capability building; and take initiative in personal growth and development.
  • Work proactively with customers to promote the delivery of relevant, flexible, contemporary and professional consultancy and audit services.
  • Work collaboratively across the sector to achieve common goals and best practice, and promote continuous business improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure meaningful and appropriate communication with all customers and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement practices that deliver customer centric services required in an ever-changing environment.
  • Proactively develop contemporary strategies and policies by identifying and implementing contemporary solutions to real-world audit and risk management situations.
  • Ensure customer and stakeholder expectations are clear so that deliverables are high-quality, purpose and aligned with Finance objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to gain a deep understanding of issues, allowing the effective and efficient delivery of audits and ensuring the greatest impact in the delivery of recommendations is achieved.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate and effective relationships with external providers to deliver high level support services.

 
Essential to be successful in this role;
  • Current membership or eligibility for the Institute of internal Auditors and/or Information Systems Audit and Control Association and/or Australian Society of Accountants/Institute of Chartered Accountants.
  • Experienced internal auditor who can work independently to complete an audit with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and ensure stakeholders are kept informed of audit progress.
  • Strong written communication skills for reporting to key stakeholders and to Corporate Executives.
  • Experience in risk management will be considered favourably.
  • Current valid NPC or ability to obtain one
