DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to engage on a temporary contract on a full time basis with a State Government agency based in Perth’s CBD.
Start Date: 23/04/2024
Length of Assignment: 6 months
Required Start Date: Monday 29th of April, 2024
Estimated End Date: Tuesday 29th of October, 2024
Location: Perth CBD
Pay Rate: PSA Level 6 (70 per hour/110, 309 per annum)
ROLE DESCRIPTION: Senior Internal Auditor (Level 6)
This role is responsible for conducting internal audit and consulting engagements using a risk-based approach in alignment with approved standards. This role supports the Director Risk and Governance in managing outsourced audit services and liaising with external bodies.

- Provides advice on compliance, performance, and financial auditing strategies.
- Conducts audits from planning to reporting, ensuring adherence to standards.
- Maintains relationships with stakeholders and ensures implementation of audit recommendations.
- Supports reporting to Audit and Risk Committees.
- Assists in developing assurance frameworks and improving audit practices.
- Assists in staff education on governance, risk, and internal controls.
- Collaborates with risk management for alignment.
- Supports initiatives for process improvement.
- Ensures efficient delivery of projects and staff development.
- Supports strengthening of audit capability.
- Assists in budget monitoring and reporting.
