Test Analyst
Initial 12 Month
Daily Rate: $100 per hour + super
Location – Canberra
DFP Recruitment is seeking a Test Analyst for our state government Client. Our ideal candidate will have experience in conducting tests to ensure data and PowerBI Dashboard quality. This role involves analysing dashboard specifications, developing and executing test cases, co-ordinating User Acceptance Testing and identifying any issues to improve our products.

DFP Recruitment is seeking a Test Analyst for our state government Client. Our ideal candidate will have experience in conducting tests to ensure data and PowerBI Dashboard quality. This role involves analysing dashboard specifications, developing and executing test cases, co-ordinating User Acceptance Testing and identifying any issues to improve our products.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of ongoing enhancements to data reporting and Power BI dashboards to meet the business requirements.
- Developing and running various Power BI Dashboard tests to validate the data and functionalities of the Dashboards.
- Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure that data is accurately represented in the Dashboards.
- Identifying, analysing and preparing bug reports to a range of dashboard and data testing.
- Develop and regularly review testing strategies
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
- Facilitate and co-ordinate stakeholder workshops/meetings were required.
- Educating end-users on how to effectively run UAT for the dashboards and report/record outcomes in Azure DevOps.
- Demonstrated experience in writing and executing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Experience in identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly, and tracking bugs through Azure Dev/Ops
- Sound understanding of Power BI’s interface, features, and functionalities.
- Ability to understand and interpret various visualisations to represent data effectively.
- Familiarity with SQL for querying databases.
- Demonstrated experience in well-developed communication skills, including oral and written skills, liaison and negotiation skills, and an ability to establish collaborative relationships at all levels of an organisation.
- Strong knowledge of software Quality Assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Knowledge of ICT industry best practice frameworks and methodologies (e.g. ITIL, Agile), testing tools and test strategies.
- National police check to be conducted by Client.
