Our client is a leader in the supply and install of commercial building products with a customer portfolio that includes major construction companies across Australia. 
 
About you;
We are looking for a professional, flexible and adaptable assistant to our warehouse manager based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.  You will be a team player, possessing strong administrative skills, an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise activities with a systematic approach.
 
Objectives of the role;
  • Supporting the Warehouse manager in overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including stock management, receiving and dispatch of goods, plant and equipment management, and preparation of materials. 
  • Assist in motivating the team with clear communication.
  • Help in the continuous improvement of administration procedures and systems to enable accurate tracking and delivery of materials.
 
Duties and Responsibilities;
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures, and systems
  • Receipting & Dispatching of materials within ERP System
  • liaising with site supervisors, contract administrators, estimators, and subcontractors as required
  • Co-ordinating the processing of materials and the delivery of finished goods to site in accordance with project requirements
  • Ensure that store staff adhere to the required Occupational Health and Safety requirements
 
Relevant skills / attributes;
  • Experience with warehousing and logistics
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise working processes
  • Care and attention to detail
  • Ability to gather information to problem solve
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 
Relevant Qualifications / Licences
  • Forklift Licence
  • First Aid Certificate (preferred)
  • HR Licence (preferred)
  • WHS Certificate or Training completed (preferred)
  • Construction industry experience is an advantage but not essential
