Situated near Port Adelaide, our client is currently seeking expressions of interest for a wharf attendee. Ad-hoc hours will be offered with no guarantee of a minimum weekly requirement.

Varied working backgrounds will be considered.  Experience in brownfield, heavy industry and major hazard facilities such as mining would be highly regarded.

Some duties may include:
  • Performing random safety checks of the work site.
  • Ensuring testing equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
  • Opening and closing pipeline and loading arm valves under direction.
  • Manual connection and disconnect of loading arms under direction.
  • Undertaking regular pipe line walks/inspections during discharge activities.
  • Taking responsibility for undertaking and maintaining product test result records.
  • Reporting incidents and maintaining a high level of terminal housekeeping.
  • Participation in Risk Assessments.
  • Performing minor maintenance tasks
 
Desirable skills and abilities:
 
  • Background/working experience in an aligned transferable environment
  • A strong safety and quality focus with a demonstrated ability to adhere to strict safety and quality guidelines
  • Sound time management and organisational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and team focus
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • A willingness to undergo extensive police background and medical checks
  • The ability to work across a 24/7 roster
