POSITION TITLE: Advisor - Aboriginal Recruitment Services  
 
Preferred Start Date: ASAP 
End Date: Oct-2024 
 
Hours per week: Full-time – Monday to Friday – 38 hours per week 
Location:  Leederville, WA 
Rate to Candidate: $60.00 per hour plus Super
Type: Temporary casual contract

About the role 
Our Talent Acquisition team has a short-term opportunity for a Recruitment Advisor with a specific focus on Aboriginal Recruitment.  

Join our team us as we influence our journey towards a more diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve. You will build strong relationships with our leaders across the business to identify & support their current and future recruitment needs. 
Your influencing skills will be leveraged as you advocate for candidates and identify opportunities to promote the employment of Aboriginal candidates. You will proactively support our recruitment process, building and maintaining talent, targeting both active and passive candidate markets for roles across Western Australia. 
 
What the role will involve 
  • Identify meaningful and sustainable opportunities across the business to increase Aboriginal representation and employment by working with internal and external stakeholders, utilising your influencing skills. 
  • Manage the hiring managers and candidates through the end-to-end recruitment process 
  • Coordinate, develop and implement advertising and sourcing strategies with a focus on Aboriginal candidates 
  • Effectively screen and shortlist candidates based on the criteria established at job briefing stage 
  • Coordinate interview and selection processes ensuring behavioural interview techniques are utilised 
  • Initiate and coordinate confirmations, due diligence & employment offer processes and negotiation of offers when required 
  • Effectively utilise our e-recruitment system in accordance with end-to-end recruitment activities and processes, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of data to facilitate reporting 
  • Proactively plan and attend regular meetings and/or site visits with assigned portfolios to understanding of customer requirements 
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify innovative solutions to meet customer needs  
Essential Appointment Criteria  
  • Certificate or Diploma within Human Resources or Psychology or considerable experience gained in a similar role
  • Considerable experience in a similar role with a strong focus on customer relationship management (Essential) ideally within a complex organisation with a multi-disciplinary workforce
  • Pursuant of Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, the occupant of this position must be of Australian Aboriginal descent 
  • Demonstrated conceptual and practical understanding of current recruitment and selection methodologies involved in end-to-end recruitment and Talent Acquisition    
  • Experience in Aboriginal focused recruitment, or a desire to learn     
  • Demonstrated influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders     
  • Detailed understanding of behavioural interviewing techniques such as DDI   
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of recruitment tools and systems including exposure to an e-recruitment application such as NGA, Taleo, Success Factors or PageUp  
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office suite 
  • Knowledge and understanding, or willingness to learn, of equity and diversity and industrial relations as they apply to recruitment and selection 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify industry trends and develop and apply effective sourcing and attraction strategies
