Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer to join their team within a QLD State Government Department. You will be delivering support and advice across the Procurement life cycle, if this is you, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver Assigned work and provide specialist procurement support and advice and review and respond to performance metrics to optimise procurement outcomes.
· Provide strategic procurement to stakeholders and suppliers
· Undertake end to end strategic procurement activities including procurement planning, completion of procurement documentation to release to market, tender administration, evaluation and negotiation for supplier selection, finalise the award of the contract.
· Contract management, planning and preparing contract documents.
· Monitoring contract performance and contract variations
· Provide subject matter expertise in relation to the management and utilsation of assigned contracts.
. Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, public sector bodies, industry, and suppliers
. Conduct site visits to external suppliers.
. Prepare and review performance reports, briefing notes and other correspondence in accordance to departments standards.

About you:
· Comprehensive knowledge in carrying end to end procurement process, including tender evaluation,
· Experience in delivering complex procurement processes.
· Understanding of procurement regulations, compliance standards and ethical practices.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide guidance on risk mitigation for procurement
