APS6 and EL1 Procurement Officer
  • APS 6 $60 - $65 / EL1 $78 - $90 / Hourly Rate
  • Canberra
  • 12-month contract

About the client
The Agency is seeking two Procurement Officers (APS6 and EL1) to deliver procurement services.

Duties of APS 6
  • Support the development of division procurement strategies with planning objectives and provide advice to the division procurement project management mechanisms.
  • Prepare reports on the status of the division procurement strategies for the lead procurement officer to present to the executive staff whilst developing procurement plans that align with the processes.
  • Prepare procurement documentation and procurement requests for the division and maintain a record whilst identifying opportunities to improve the divisions approach to procurement.
  • Assist with the management of the agencies support panel and provide advice to establish a new panel to support technical needs.
Duties of EL1
  • Supporting the agency with overseeing the services panel whilst establishing a new panel and arrange technical needs with consultation to the procurement team.
  • Support the agency in developing procurement strategies with planning objectives whilst leading the establishment of the project management mechanisms.
  • Reporting the procurement strategies to executive staff whilst providing recommendations on requirements to meet forecast procurement needs.
  • Be able to liaise with the central procurement team to ensure division procurement strategies and plans to align with policies and CPRs.
  • Lead, support, and provide guidance to the APS 6 procurement officer and division to develop procurement plans aligning with the departments processes, performance objectives, and evaluations.
Deliverables
  • Procurement plans and documentations to implement using the divisions strategies.
  • Prepare routine division statement reports to support the oversight of the division.
  • Prepare arrangements to support the technical needs of the division with plans of establishment enduring panel.
Desired Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of complex commercial contract management and Commonwealth Procurement Framework.
  • PGPA Act 2013 and Rule 2014, as well as CPRs.
  • Leadership and strong mindset approach to work under limited direction.
  • Cert IV or diploma in procurement and contract management.
  • Business Partner experience.
