About the Organisation
A Federal Government Department looking to engage an APS4 Executive Assistant for a 12 month contract with vew for permanency.
Please note ONLY candidates with a minimum of BASELINE CLEARANCE will be considered. 

About the Role
You will join the People Strategy and Engagement Branch. The branch designs and delivers the Department's overarching people and workforce capability strategies to ensure the workforce are equipped and supported to deliver on their business objectives that contribute to the Department’s outcomes.
Key focus areas include; leadership, learning and development, talent management, workforce capability and high performance, organisational capacity, productivity, staff feedback through the staff survey framework, and engagement.

Implementation of these strategies is supported by the Branch's national People Business Partner network, who work with business areas to understand how the people strategies and guidance could assist in their operating context. This work is strongly supported by the Branch's workforce data and analytics capability, which provides valuable workforce insights through the manager's dashboard and tailored analytic reports, and the MyHR team who are the content managers of the Department's MyHR intranet hub.

Your duties include but are not limited to:
  • Managing administrative arrangements for the Executive and their branches
  • Diary management
  • Monitoring and managing email
  • Coordinating and tracking ministerial and secretary workflow
  • Monitoring telephones for the divisional executive group
  • Arranging travel on QBT
  • Arranging meetings and booking meeting rooms and escort external visitors
  • Providing support to other SES and Executive Assistants of the division as required (ensuring core business hours are covered, answering other executive and EA’s phones, effective message-taking and delivery)

The role will require the successful candidate to:
  • Perform moderately complex tasks and activities that support the delivery of procedural, administrative, financial and business support activities.
  • Work collaboratively in a team based environment actively participating in and contributing to information exchange and team objectives.
  • Seek clarity and understand the reasons for decisions and recommendations and be able to explain to others how they are relevant to the work being undertaken.
