About the role
 
As a Program Officer, you will be expected to assist the section by undertaking tasks to successfully deliver scheme outcomes against tight timelines.
 
In this position, the Program Officer is expected to:
  • Monitor, implement, and maintain processes that contribute to management across the grant scheme/s whole of life cycle
  • Undertake data checking and development of grant related documents
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including responding to grant applicants and holders, Selection Advisory Committee members and reviewers
  • Use the Research Management System (RMS) and other internal computer systems and software
  • Coordinate and support meetings, presentations, as required;
  • Provide secretariat support, including the preparation and distribution of meeting agenda and minutes, drafting and/or collation of papers
  • Work flexibly across teams to provide support in the Major Investments Section as required
Skills and Experience
 
Skills and knowledge required for this role
  • Good interpersonal and liaison skills and being a great team member
  • Project and time management skills, including ability to manage tight and conflicting deadlines
  • Some experience or capabilities in dealing with stakeholders
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills and experience in problem solving
  • Strong oral and writing skills
  • Knowledge of grant selection and management processes may be an advantage
  • Familiarity with a variety of computer-based software with the ability to problem-solve technical issues or escalate to technical areas if required
  • Experience with Technology One would be an advantage
