About the Organisation
Our client is a Federal Government Department looking for a high performer APS5 EA/EO to support a Senior Executive for an initial 6 month with view for extension.

The key duties of the position include:
  • Providing professional service to internal and external stakeholders as a first point of contact for the branch and managing these relationships.
  • Diary and correspondence management including managing and organising workflows including tracking tasks to ensure that they are completed according to priority and deadlines.
  • Provide high level support to the Senior Executive member/s by undertaking less complex research and coordinating and preparing papers for senior meetings and engagements.
  • Provide support for the broader work team as required including arranging meetings and events, secretariat support, coordinating briefing papers and assist with supporting of the delivery of the branch’s projects.
  • Take personal responsibility for accurate completion of work and seeks guidance when required. Shows initiative and drive to see that goals are achieved.
  • Arrange travel for Executive and branch staff as required.
  • Provide other high-level administrative assistance and ad hoc duties as directed.
Capabilities required
  • Highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to reprioritise tasks to accommodate competing and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, exercising good judgement and handling matters in a sensitive manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have experience as an Executive Assistant or have relevant skills that will ensure success as an Executive Assistant.
