People and Culture Advisor - Payroll
  • Ongoing, Part-time 3 days per week
  • $80,341 - $87572 (pro-rata) plus 15.4% superannuation.

About the role
My Federal Government client has an opportunity for a HR professional to join our People and Culture Team as a People and Culture Advisor – Payroll, providing high quality Payroll Services. As the People and Culture Advisor – Payroll you will undertake all aspects of payroll processing that include:
  • processing salaries, superannuation, allowances, workers compensation payments and leave using the organisation’s HR information system – Aurion
  • responding to simple and complex client queries relating to employment conditions and entitlements
  • implementing and continually improving the organisation’s personnel processes
  • interpreting APS legislation, the organisation’s workplace agreements and other relevant materials on employment conditions and entitlements, advising management and staff accordingly
  • creating and managing productive working relationships with other areas of the organisation and external service providers to achieve overall goals and make appropriate personnel decisions
  • supporting the HR Systems Administrator as required
About you
You will have worked within an APS payroll team and preferably have experience using Aurion or similar HR Information Systems with a comprehensive understanding of personnel practices and procedures, as well as demonstrate an understanding of, and ability to interpret relevant legislation.
