Job description

Our client is currently seeking an APS6 Business Analyst to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in the Adelaide CBD.

The Payments Transformation Branch is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of transformation initiatives to increase payments and claims quality, efficiency, controls, correctness and outcomes in support of the NDIS Corporate Plan.
 
The Claims and Payments Service Design and Improvement team is responsible for reviewing and evaluating current claims and payments processes and controls and determining and implementing improvement.
 
The Payments Integrity Team is responsible for payments assurance control testing to determine and monitor the error rate and also for implementing detective and preventative measures that will improve compliance.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 
  • Producing reports, interpreting data and analysing results using standard statistical techniques.
  • Coordinating divisional and branch reporting requirements to monitor and track improvement and performance outcomes.
  • Developing business functional requirements and resources, consistent with contractual, legislative and policy environments.
  • Translating business metrics to inform internal stakeholder requirements including efficiency, improvement and performance outcomes to optimise customer experience.
  • Designing and delivering workshops, communication and consultation resources that support complex systems and business information gathering and sharing.
  • Establishing and implementing governance and compliance processes, dashboards and management systems to track branch and divisional performance against plans and targets.
  • Implementing and maintaining audit and risk processes, controls and undertaking issues resolution. 
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: 
  • Proven work experience in a similar role
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to builds positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management frameworks, including agile (iterative) development.
  • Experience with continuous improvement processes.
  • An understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability is highly desirable.  
This role is at the APS6 level equivalent offering $60.26 per hour + super. The rate of pay is casually loaded, as you will not be accruing annual or sick leave.
