Job description

About the Organisation
Our client is a Federal Government Agency responsible for developing and implementing better use of data and technology to help people live healthier lives, with greater control and better access to important health information.
This opportunity will be for an initial 6 month non-ongoing contract with possible extension. This would be a great opportunity for a high performing APS5, or current APS6.

About the Role
The SAR is responsible for end-to-end recruitment solutions in a highly contestable labour market. The role is responsible for position description design and review, formulating advertising strategies that meet the business needs, candidate management and establishing strong communication within the business, and external bodies. The SAR is also responsible for providing strong support and operational supervision to lower classified staff within the team. To be successful in this role, the candidate will have experience delivering recruitment in a government context, or the ability to apply their knowledge of legislative requirements that govern recruitment and processes. The ability to undertake strategic recruitment and to work with the Manager to identify future needs for proactive resourcing solutions will be key. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and be required to provide strong advice and guidance regarding recruitment activities and working within the APS and the Agency’s legislative and policy frameworks.

In addition to the end-to-end recruitment functions the major responsibilities of this role will include:
• Monitoring recruitment processes to identify issues or problems early and formulate solutions to ensure a good candidate and hiring manager experience.
• Developing and measuring key recruitment metrics, like source of hire and time-to-hire.
• Assisting with reporting activities and regular audits, ensuring sufficient record keeping and compliance requirements are undertaken and met.
• Providing accurate and timely advice, consistent with HR policies and processes, to stakeholders.
• Taking responsibility for a self-managed workload by meeting deadlines, making decisions within parameters, and escalating to the Manager or Director on complex issues.
• Driving new ways of working and continuous improvement within recruitment and mobility to provide a high quality, professional, consistent, and cohesive service.
• Identifying and delivering developments and innovations to enhance service delivery and customers’ experience.
