Job description

Great opportunity to work for a unique Federal Government agency, which works to support thousands of Australians living with a disability and their families. This role is offering a 12 month temporary contract, based in Robina or Brisbane CBD. 

The role:
The APS6 Provider Engagement Officer will work closely with key stakeholders including State and Local Government, providers, carers, people with disability and mainstream organisations to address local transition challenges.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

  • Being a secondary contact for providers whilst supporting provider market and provider process.
  • Engaging providers to ensure optimal satisfaction is experienced at each interaction.
  • Manage risks associated with stakeholder relationships through a proactive approach.
  • Supporting the development and promotion of the Agency resources
  • Providing general input into ministerial and parliamentary correspondence, reports and briefs.
  • Undertaking project management and delivery of provider engagement approaches.
  • Implementing and supporting regional engagement strategies intended to develop market and provider segments.
About you:
  • Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience in or knowledge of the disability sector (desirable)
  • Relevant experience with providers to people with disability is highly desirable 
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Emotional resilience when handling challenging and sensitive issues
