Job Title: Asset Accounting Officer
Position Type: Full time 37.5 hours
Duration: 6 months
Type: Temporary Casual Contract
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rates based on experience
Location: Perth
Role Overview: The Asset Accounting Officer is responsible for analysing and preparing capitalization of completed infrastructure capital works projects. They collaborate with project managers to gather road infrastructure data, review project financial information in Oracle systems, and prepare journals and reports
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyse and prepare capitalisation of completed infrastructure capital works projects.
  2. Liaise with Project managers to obtain road infrastructure data on the close out of capital projects.
  3. Analyse and review project financial information in the Oracle Projects Module and Road Asset Capitalisation system.
  4. Preparing Project and General ledger journals and running reports in Oracle
Essential to be successful in the role:
  • Good understanding of Accounting concepts and principles
  • Sound skills and experience in research, analysis and problem solving
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
Desirable
  • Knowledge of accounting systems
