Job opportunity: Asset Investment Analyst
Location: Fremantle & Kwinana, WA
Contract: 10-Month Contract | Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Start Date: ASAP (short notice periods considered)
Rate: $85/hour +super
Our client, a key player in WA’s port and infrastructure sector, is seeking an experienced Asset Investment Analyst to support their sustaining capital program. This role is critical in developing high-quality business cases and investment proposals that align with strategic objectives and the Asset Investment Plan.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop compelling business cases for sustaining capital projects in line with internal governance and WA Treasury requirements.
- Integrate asset condition, risk, lifecycle cost, and investment rationale into structured proposals.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate scope, assumptions, and technical inputs.
- Lead or coordinate early-stage scoping and cost estimation using historical data and engineering insights.
- Analyse asset condition, risk, and financial data to support investment prioritisation.
- Contribute to investment sequencing, bundling, and staging using scenario modelling and cost phasing tools.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a commercial discipline (desirable).
- Proven experience delivering business cases and asset investment proposals.
- Skilled in WA Treasury-level business case development and stakeholder communication.
- Strong cost estimation and early project scoping capabilities.
- Advanced financial modelling skills, including DCF analysis and scenario testing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint.
