Job description

As the Events Technical Director, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional technical support for virtual events & activities. You’ll work closely with the existing team to ensure the successful creation and management of their virtual customer engagement platforms and video conferencing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the go-to Technical Director for events and productions held at the Sydney site, offering expert technical guidance and support to both internal and external customers.
  • Strategically plan and execute all technical aspects of large-scale hybrid, virtual events, and broadcast productions.
  • Provide expert support for Technical, Virtual Platform, Video Conferencing, and AV system requirements during customer demonstrations, meetings, and major CIC events.
  • Be the first point of contact for technical issues and equipment failures, conducting immediate assessments and diagnostics to determine optimal solutions.
  • Work closely with external suppliers and providers to efficiently address technical issues.
  • Lead projects to introduce innovative technical solutions, continuously exploring opportunities for enhancement.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Technical tertiary education
  • Experience in event AV and broadcast environments and/or experience as a technical director with an AV production organization
  • Proficiency in virtual and hybrid event delivery
  • Strong knowledge of video standards, including routing and mixing
  • Background in audio patching and mixing
  • Preferable knowledge of networking and video conferencing
The role will commence January 2024 with a full time 12-month contract. Possibility of contract extension and permanency depending on performance.
