Job description

The Opportunity 
We are seeking experienced Data Analysts to join our Federal Government client based in Adelaide CBD.  

The Roles
 
These roles will contribute to the design and development of future reporting including improving data and reporting capability from new IT systems. The roles will provide sound advice, develop high quality reports, and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to develop data visualisation tools and meet reporting needs. 

The positions will be working as part of a team responsible for the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) and Genesys Telephony systems used by our client, including the management of operational requirements to support business-as-usual operations in Genesys. The team also has responsibility for operational reporting within the Branch. 
At the APS5 level Key Responsibilities will include; 
  • Provide support in the delivery of projects, working independently or under limited guidance.  
  • Resolve complex or difficult project issues with the support of a team leader. 
  • Provide support to meet the project’s agreed objectives, standards, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. 
  • Provide line management supervision and leadership to staff including coaching and mentoring to staff.  
  • Undertake research and analysis to develop and prepare a range of documentation such as correspondence, reports, briefings, presentations, and contract documentation. 
  • Provide support in the development and maintenance of project documentation such as project status reports, project management plans, schedules, and risk, issues and change registers in alignment with the Project Management Framework 
  • Provide advice and expertise in areas specific to project management and delivery. 
  • Deliver technical training and coordinate support to relevant teams. 
  • Provide support with risk assessment and risk management activities for a project. 
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement. 
Data specific roles may also include: 
  • Developing and maintaining regular reports and dashboards 
  • Investigating, extracting, analysing, and reviewing data 
  • Providing input into briefs, reports, and other documents for executives 
  • Communicating to a wide range of different stakeholders 
  • Developing data visualisation tools 
  • Communicating data to influence decision making processes. 
 
In addition, the APS6 level key responsibilities will also include team leadership, project and risk management responsibilities as well as the preparation of reports and documentation for the executive.     
 
About You 
To be eligible for these roles you must be an Australian Citizen and have a current clear Police Check or be willing to obtain one.  

In addition, you must have; 
  • Experience in either database interrogation or management. 
  • Experience with analytics tools (such as SQL, PowerBI, Data Warehouse, Qlik, Microsoft Excel and other database systems, etc.)  
Knowledge of data management within Dynamics 365 CRM and Genesys Telephony is also desirable.
