Job description

Client: Federal Government (details TBA via phone call)
Location: ACT, NSW
Start Date: Monday 12 February 2024
Duration: 12 Months + 12-month extension
Work Arrangements: full-time, onsite minimum 3 days/week, flexible arrangements considered
Pre-Employment Checks: ability to obtain Baseline, Australian citizenship, references
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Embedding accessibility in software development lifecycle
  • Collaborating with a diverse team including designers, developers, and product managers
  • Conducting WCAG compliance audits and reviews
  • Contributing to training and capability uplift
 
Essential Criteria:
  • Proven experience as an accessibility specialist
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG, WAI-ARIA, HTML, CSS, JS, and common assistive technologies
  • Demonstrated passion for inclusivity and accessibility in public digital services
  • Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work
