About the Role:

Step into a pivotal leadership position with our Federal Government client as the Manager of Property and Security located in Canberra.  However, our client will consider Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane as a location. This role is tailor made for a strategic and forward-thinking individual.
You will be instrumental in shaping the Department’s approach to property management and physical security.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a geographically diverse team to deliver facilities and security services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align property management and physical security with strategic priorities.
  • Oversee property related capital works, leases, and accommodation strategies.
  • Ensure optimal management of multi-location infrastructure.
  • Safeguard the agency’s property, people, and information, ensuring compliance with security policies and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders to support effective service delivery and achieve strategic outcomes.
 
Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and manage a team, fostering a culture of high-quality client service and continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning and delivery of complex projects.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with a diverse audience, and effectively negotiate and manage service contracts.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail in project planning and documentation.
  • Proven experience in Protective Security and the Protective Security Policy Framework.
  • Solid background in property and facilities management, including long-term strategic planning and contract negotiation.
  • Expertise in project management, market research, data analysis, and procurement.
