Are you passionate about providing administrative support that ensures positive outcomes for students in the fields of Forestry and Maritime? Our client is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Education Administrator.

The Role:

The Education Administrator - Forestry and Maritime provides comprehensive administrative support to the Forestry and Maritime education team, ensuring the smooth operation of educational processes and systems. Reporting to the Head of Department, the Education Administrator plays a key role in supporting students, teaching staff, and stakeholders to achieve positive educational outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the education delivery team, department heads, managers, and teaching staff.
  • Respond to student inquiries and provide course information and advice, directing them to appropriate resources as needed.
  • Coordinate student lists and ensure accurate enrollment information is processed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor course scheduling and enrollment, following up with students as required.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, recording minutes and assisting with agenda development.
  • Support procurement processes, including raising purchase orders.
  • Build relationships with enrolled students and industry clients, acting as a point of contact for support and assistance.
  • Assist with organizing and scheduling industry-related short courses offered by TAFE Gippsland.
  • Process enrollments for industry license tickets and ensure timely issuance upon completion.
  •  Prepare course-related paperwork and assist with course delivery requirements such as room bookings, travel arrangements, and catering.
  • Facilitate financial order placement and invoice processing.
  • Participate in business improvement processes and quality/compliance audits.
  • Liaise with teaching teams and academic registry to develop course structures and availability templates.


Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience in administrative support roles, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of industry rules and processes (Forestry and Maritime experience preferred).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software is advantageous.
