Lead DevOps Engineer

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and new Projects kicking off, our Government client is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer.
This is a contract role starting as an initial 1-year contract with another 1-year extension afterwards, paying an open daily rate plus super' across a 7.5hr day based on your experience and is based in Richmond or Geelong, Victoria.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office & 2 days from home.
As this role is within the Federal Government, applicants are required to be Australian Citizens for this position.  

The Role:
Within the Office of the CIO, they are undertaking major work programs to deliver innovative fit-for-need ICT-based solutions to improve the organisations scheme.
This is a hands-on role to lead the design, implementation, and support of CI/CD automation solutions and processes to support Release efficiency and quality in Salesforce and MuleSoft platforms largely. This includes consistent and automated building, packaging and testing and deployment of code and applications and the creation and maintenance of Environments.
The responsibilities will include, however not limited to: 
• Lead the CI/CD design, development, test, implementation, and support of CI/CD solutions that deliver Release efficiency and quality in the Salesforce and MuleSoft platform.
• Develop and prioritise the CI/CD backlog in consultation with environment and development leads.
• Develop and implement best-practise-based CI/CD solution principles with key stakeholders.
• Research and investigate CI/CD improvements and opportunities for inclusion in the CI/CD Program backlog.
• Review and select CICD/DevOps tools.
• Ensure that CI/CD solutions are documented, tested and where practical, are reusable.

About you:
To be shortlisted for this opportunity, you must have:
• Demonstrated experience with Gitlab build/deployment pipelines creation, maintenance and monitoring.
• Demonstrated experience delivering CI/CD automation solutions using Salesforce (with Salesforce specific development (changesets, unit test, metadata, etc.) and MuleSoft and in using Salesforce CLI for development and build automation.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Salesforce Package Development Model including Vlocity and Omni Studio and understanding of coding standards surrounding Salesforce ecosystem (not generic), containerization, orchestration e.g. AWS, Docker Kubernetes etc.
• Demonstrated well-developed practical understanding of CI/CD and DevOps processes and experience in relevant tools.
• Demonstrated high level of competency in Programming, including knowledge of supplementary scripting languages such as Python.
