About the role
The EL1 Procurement and Contracts position is responsible for complex problem solving and issues management within the Procurement functions. The role requires providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the team and assigned contractors working within the work area.

About the role
The EL1 Procurement and Contracts position is responsible for complex problem solving and issues management within the Procurement functions. The role requires providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the team and assigned contractors working within the work area.
Duties
- Being able to consult and collaborate with stakeholders, business areas to identify issues, provide advice, planning.
- Work collaboratively as a procurement business partner whilst managing a team to develop approach documentation, evaluate tenders and negotiate contracts.
- Being able to lead and identify requirements around procurement's and plan an approach with activities to provide to the wider team.
- Ensuring all procurement activities are conducted with legislative requirements such as Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and relevant procurement policies.
- Be able to deliver excellent sound judgement in relation to compliance with Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines (CGRGs), procurement framework, policies, and procedures.
- Possess the capability to conduct policy and process evaluations aimed at enhancing business growth and strengthening partnerships with stakeholders.
- Recommended to have previous procurement experience in relevant areas.
- Strong understanding of procurement rules such as (CPRs) and relevant policies.
- Have a leadership mindset and capability to lead, engage and manage stakeholders and teams.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent understanding of “relevant policies” and procedures with minimal supervision.
- Excellent decision making, attention to detail and judgement skills.
