About the role
As a EL1 Technical Solution Analyst you will be incharge for actively source and coordinate services and solutions for ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the online system. This will require experience in business requirement development, procurement of digital and technical services and well-developed project management experience of complex information technology, spatial and/or data visualization projects.The Technical Solution Analyst will help the agency to mature its data analytics and visualization capability and deliver an enhanced RIMReP.

Duties

  • Lead the definition of business requirements and troubleshoot solutions for the Reef Knowledge System and its interactions with the supporting information technology environment and data management system.
  • Coordinate technical solutions for the ongoing maintenance and advancement of agencies supporting services.
  • Support data analytics and visualisation services through sourcing, troubleshooting and solutions.
  • Develop repeatable data management processes and pipelines.
  • Lead the procurement, contract management and assessment of deliverables for technical services.

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to meeting agreed work targets and standards.Has excellent communication, interpersonal skills and has an aptitude for collaboration and negotiation with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Has a high attention to detail and a focus on delivery in a fast paced environment.
  • Project, contract and/or program management experience with technology-based outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in and understanding of data management, analytics, and visualization (data science and engineering) technologies and environments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Government’s procurement rules. ( Desirable ) 
  • Experience leading and delivering information technology projects and/or working with end users to define their business requirements. Ability to travel, sometimes for multiple nights at a time. (Desirable )
