DFP Recruitment is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental Project Officer to join one of our clients within the maritime industry based in Fremantle. This full-time role is a temporary assignment lasting up to 8 months.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager of Environment, the Environmental Project Officer will be responsible for implementing and developing various projects.

Key Duties Include:
  • Managing the planning and implementation of bio fuels trial.
  • Reviewing the light vehicle fleet to identify opportunities for transitioning to low-emission or electric vehicles.
  • Conducting electricity and fuel efficiency audits.
  • Researching and providing advice on carbon emissions offset strategies.
  • Supporting the electrical branch in planning and delivering photo-voltaic projects.
  • Managing the collection and reporting of program and project data.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements, goals, scopes, and deliverables are clear and agreed upon.
  • Monitoring and reporting on project budgets and schedules.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Qualifications or experience in project management.
  • Experience in preparing business cases and/or project justifications (highly desirable).
  • Experience working with business stakeholders within a multidisciplinary or cross-functional environment.
  • The ability to multitask while delivering a diverse program of works/projects.
  • Strong research skills related to project issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
