The Opportunity
Due to continued growth and new Projects kicking off, our Government client is looking for a Functional Test Analyst across Portals & Apps.
This is a contract role starting as an initial 1-year contract with another 1-year extension afterwards, paying up to $650 plus super' across a 7.5hr day (possibly more) based on your experience and is based in Richmond, Victoria.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office & 2 days from home.
As this role is within the Federal Government, all applicants are required to be Australian Citizens for this position.  

The Role:
Within the Office of the CIO, they are undertaking major work programs to deliver innovative fit-for-need ICT-based solutions to improve the organisations scheme.
They are seeking a passionate, experienced Tester to join the Office of the CIO (OCIO). Under the guidance of an OCIO Project Manager, you will prepare for and conduct testing activities across one or more concurrent ICT projects, with a focus on Web-based Portals and Mobile Apps.
The responsibilities will include, however not limited to: 
·      Support OCIO Project Managers in execution of the companies Test Strategy and standards, which involves expansion of the technology solution landscape with new Technology Providers.
·      Support Project Managers to develop the Test Approach for a given project.
·      Take ownership for day-to-day Test planning, preparation, execution and verification on a given project(s).
·      Execute testing – this is a hands-on role with manual and some automation components.
·      Escalate testing issues through the appropriate channels.
·      Provide regular updates on work status, risks and issues in consultation with project managers.
·      Take responsibility for the quality of testing undertaken for the project.
·      Provide input to Test Automation specialists who build and maintain the Test Automation suite.
·      Support efforts to industrialise testing best practices and standards, including tooling, documentation, metrics, reporting, and introduction of automation.

About you:
To be shortlisted for this opportunity, you must have:
·      A very solid background executing focused testing activities in medium-to-large scale ICT environments.
·      Direct experience testing Web-based applications.
·      Strong understanding of contemporary delivery methodologies and the respective testing implications and best practices.
·      Assertive communication backed up by real Testing Subject Matter Expertise.
·      Ability and willingness to work in a friendly - but sometimes time high pressure - environment with tight deadlines.
·      Commitment to deliver quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
