About the Role
As a Graduate Accountant, reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis, you’ll support the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial information. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across a variety of finance functions including general accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, compliance, and audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end processes, including journal entries and report generation
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
- Perform general ledger and bank reconciliations
- Contribute to daily finance operations and transactional data entry
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice handling and debt collection
- Assist in preparing BAS returns, FBT reporting, and funding acquittals
- Participate in internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Uphold organisational values and contribute to a safe, respectful, and collaborative workplace
- A Diploma in Accounting (with strong interest in completing a Bachelor's degree and pursuing CA/CPA qualification)
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and principles
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven time management and organisational skills, especially under pressure
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
- Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Valid Working with Children Check
- National Police Check (dated within the last 12 months)
- Willingness to travel between campuses as required
