Duties
- Manage, lead and deliver a major project across multiple divisions, to meet the department’s required Service Integration and Management (SIAM) transition and implementation outcomes.
- Lead and deliver the Strategic outcomes, proactively run project scheduling and interdependencies, and support the team members in delivering successful outcomes.
- Leading collaboration and adherence to frameworks required to deliver successful projects.
- Formalising project structure, resources, governance and stakeholder engagement plan(s).
- Develop and manage required project artefacts in line with department’s governance and assurance frameworks.
- Engage and collaborate with other project streams to manage interdependencies, cross share capability and capacity, and ensure delivery of value-add, integrated solution.
- Engage and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders, partners, industry and peak bodies, and suppliers as required to deliver a well-defined and understood solution.
- Identify and manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans, assignment of owners, mitigation and due dates, undertake regular risk reviews and report current high risks to the Program Board as they are identified.
- Take responsibility for project progress and use of resources and initiate corrective action where necessary, foreshadowing upcoming resource needs and actioning engagement well ahead of start dates.
- Lead and mentor the project assigned resources and associated documentation.
- Plan, manage and drive the overall program of work to deliver required outcomes.
- Oversee project design, governance and operational transformation.
- Develop, manage and deliver the appropriate artefacts to support the project, including the project schedule and Transition and Implementation plans.
- Build positive, influential and professional relationships with business stakeholders, technical staff and project team members to drive successful project outcomes.
- Manage and maintain an acceptable risk profile via the Risk Register.
- Reporting effectively and regularly to stakeholders across related projects.
- Manage and lead business solution using and agile delivery approach in a responsive environment with program and project management standards and processes using PRINCE2.
- Deal with significant and contentious issues, negotiate and liaise with stakeholders.
- Develop an agreed workplan of key performance outcomes.
- Contribute towards other tasks, as directed by the buyer
- Minimum 5 years project delivery experience with successful outcomes.
- Project/Program certifications • Experience managing Service Management and/or technical projects.
- Understanding of Service Management toolsets from operations to integration.
- Service Integration & Management (SIAM) certification will be advantageous.
- Applicants must hold Australian citizenship.
- Baseline Clearance Required or be able to obtain
