Job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Integration Specialist for a 12-month temporary contract in their Fremantle office. Rate: Candidates will be submitted at the rate of their choosing 
Duration: 12 months 
Location: Fremantle, WA 
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate) 
 
Position Purpose 
The Technical Integration Analysts are responsible for the support and maintenance of the integrations and business applications that the University utilises to operate. Technical Integration Analysts have technical and functional expertise in a range of applications and integrations and perform both development and operational activities. 

Key Accountabilities 
  1. Work with the internal stakeholders to define integration requirements and translate those requirements into technical deliverables.
  2. Design and build of complex system integrations or data flows and interfaces based on functional requirements.
  3. Monitoring and maintenance of existing integrations or flows and ensuring that they run at optimal times and performance level.
  4. Work with vendors and third-party contractors on system upgrades and enhancements.
  5. Provide end-to-end ongoing support for already implemented integrations and interfaces.
  6. Monitor and action assigned work within the support queue, escalating issues as required in line with business needs, identifying and communicating business workarounds.
  7. Provide advice, support, and guidance to developers, analysts, administrators and management regarding code review, design and problems.
  8. Configure, code and script applications based on business requirements. 
  9. Investigate, identify and rectify root cause of repetitive incident tickets, conducting complex analysis of reported defects to enable planning for issue resolution.
  10. Work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to provide issue resolution, solution and service delivery, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  11. Provide peer-review to ensure that integration and application enhancements meet design and build standards and contribute positively to the team environment.
 Qualifications & Experience 
  1. Relevant postgraduate tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related discipline, with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments.
  2. Experience working with modern workplace technologies including but not limited to Talend, PeopleSoft, Blackboard, Microsoft365, Jira/Confluence, Microsoft Power Platform.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 
  1. Experience in integration development and administration/support or similar.
  2. Experienced in ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) tools and utilizing cloud platforms to extract data and load into downstream databases/applications using pipelines or APIs (Application Programming Interface).
  3. Experience with SQL database administration will be preferred.
  4. Experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting integrations and applications.
  5. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability with outcome focused solutions.
  6. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with ability to build credibility and demonstrating professionalism with stakeholders.
  7. Ability to operate in a changing work environment; knowing when to escalate challenging issues.
  8. Demonstrated skills in the analysis, assessment, design, specification, development, testing, implementation and support of enterprise-level systems.
