DFP Recruitment are partnering with a global organisation who are specialists within their field & are now continuing to grow within their technology team. They are looking to bring on board an IT Solutions Specialist across their Financial Systems space.

Role

The role of the Solutions Specialist is to undertake activities related to the technical implementation, development and technical support of the Group’s enterprise systems and digital platforms. This is a “hands on” role working on initiatives concurrently that optimise how users work. The role ensures that the systems are performing optimally, & changes are orchestrated & executed to achieve their objectives. The role ensures that end users are supported from an IT perspective.
The primary focus of this role is to support the Finance systems and digital platforms that enable the Finance functions across the enterprise. This includes ERP capability (not necessarily BST which is their current ERP), Concur for expense management, Power BI reporting & digital applications (e.g., vendor setup) leveraging the Power Platform. Their capability such as Dynamics 365 CRM (marketing, business planning, contact and opportunity management) is considered secondary focus as they have a Solution Specialist in their team whose primary focus is to support such applications/business functions. Please note, they will be looking to evaluate ERP solutions in the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partners with the business to understand user requirements, identify robust IT application solutions, & rapidly prototype solutions as a proof-of-concept for non-technical audiences.
  • Undertake the end-to-end development of business application solutions including apps, forms, workflows, SharePoint deployments, & system integrations.
  • Develop and maintain solution design & technical systems documentation.
  • Participate in planning & execution of tasks related to the evaluation & delivery of Power Platform, & Power BI based initiatives with a primary focus to support Finance.
  • Conduct research & provide technical advice & direction in relation to operational & business systems, platforms, & development services with a primary focus on Finance.
  • Provide professional/technical advice to assist in the development of tools to facilitate Application Lifecycle Management & DevOps processes.
  • Provide technical support to end users – core systems include ERP and digital applications that have been developed inhouse, to support automation & streamlining of business functions with a primary focus on Finance.
  • Maintain Finance systems’ data integrity.
  • Coordinate testing, training, & system upgrades.
  • Continued improvement of process & functionality of the systems to support business’ needs.
  • Delivery & continued enhancement of management reporting.
Systems Improvements
  • System Analysis, issue resolution & system enhancements.
  • Testing and implementation of system corrections & enhancements.
  • Assess & understand processes & systems used & areas of in-efficiencies.
  • Actively champion system & process improvements consistent across the Global Studio.
  • Liaise with Group IT on any systems upgrades that impact core business systems.
  • Analysis and development of business systems reporting to support business needs.
  • Work with the business to ensure appropriate training materials are made available.
Key skills and capabilities
  • Professional experience on medium to large scale IT projects.
  • Solid experience working with non-technical users to understand user requirements & develop solutions/enhancements in enterprise or consultancy environments.
  • Experience in Finance systems configuration & administration.
  • Some understanding of the principles of accounting as they relate to a services organisation.
  • Recent professional experience delivering solutions using Power Platform.
  • Proficient in software development.
  • Solid Canvas Apps Development skills.
  • Strong experience in relational database design & query languages.
  • Good understanding of Restful API & web service concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience working with SDLC processes.
  • Experience in process improvement, design thinking methodologies.
  • Strong Business intelligence analytical & reporting skills (Excel, Power BI &/or SSRS).
