DFP Recruitment is looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner, full-time on 3-month assignment based in Kwinana for one of our clients within the Logistics Industry.
About the role
Support the maintenance team by coordinating all maintenance activities and projects to ensure equipment operates reliably and in compliance with standard procedures, legislation, and policy.
Key Duties:
• Manage maintenance planning, cost estimation, scheduling, and repairs, including oversight of spares and stores.
• Monitor and report progress against weekly maintenance plans to the Maintenance Manager.
• Initiate, review, and close maintenance activities, prioritising tasks as needed.
• Supervise project work, identify resources, and arrange supplementary labour as necessary.
• Coordinate external service providers for site works.
• Ensure allocation of contract labour and equipment complies with procedures and policies.
• Provide contract management support and general supervision on projects.
• Assist in proposal investigation, customer liaison, and cost estimation.
• Manage statutory inspections and records.
• Coordinate maintenance personnel training.
About you
• Strong organisation and planning skills, ability to manage concurrent tasks effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer and supplier interactions.
• Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
• Team player with job scheduling and cost estimating expertise.
• Proficient in Maintenance systems and spreadsheet development.
• Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant planning/trade qualification.
• Maintenance experience in heavy industrial environments.
• Experience in budget preparation.
• Hold a current ‘C’ or ‘CA’ class driver’s license.
• Possess a National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months).
