- $77.46 - $88.35 per hour + super
The Hospital Policy and Classification Branch is responsible for developing activity-based funding policy across the agency and for working with clinical, technical and jurisdictional stakeholders to develop and maintain clinical classifications, coding standards and business rules associated with the implementation of nationally consistent activity-based funding for public hospital services.
The Role:
The Manager’s role is to support the Director, Classifications with regards to the delivery of the agency’s classification development work program and all other matters as they arise, including developing and refining the activity based funding classifications and managing procurements and contracts.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Support the Director, Classifications with regards to the delivery of classification development work program and all other matters as they arise, including developing and refining the activity based funding classifications and managing procurements and contracts
- Develop jurisdictional, Pricing Authority, advisory committee and working group papers and correspondence within the timeframes determined by the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Director, Hospital Policy and Classification.
- Establish and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key capabilities include the following:
- Qualifications in health, health information management, policy or related fields highly regarded, but not essential.
- Liaise with other sections, external agencies and external stakeholders and facilitate cross-agency or multi-agency planning of program delivery.
- Perform independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant program activities and/or project milestones.
- Manage programs/projects through to implementation, with direction from more senior staff.
- Provide expertise and technical knowledge in specialist areas across a range of programs or activities for the agency.
- Contribute to the development of team objectives for short term tasks and strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.
- Develop and support complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders
To be eligible it is essential that applicants hold Australian Citizenship and have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Federal Police criminal history check.
