About the Role

The role is central to maintaining and building marine supervision competency, stewarding the development of core skills within the discipline, and ensuring the highest standards of marine vessel safety. The Marine Supervisor will provide expert consultation to project teams, coordinate resources, and act as a technical leader for risk and vulnerability assessments.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Serving as the primary contact for offshore logistics planning and vessel scheduling
  • Providing marine input to concept selection and contract strategy
  • Supervising and coordinating marine resources and supporting construction and discipline leads
  • Participating in risk assessments and pre-mobilisation reviews
  • Developing and maintaining marine vessel procedures, processes, and specifications
  • Facilitating and coordinating technical work products and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Evaluating contractor and subcontractor work, reviewing design drawings and documents
  • Managing deviations to technical specifications and maintaining deviation control logs
  • Stewarding technical queries and information requests from contractors
  • Keeping leadership informed of progress, deviations, and concerns
  • Compiling operational reports and supporting audit preparation
  • Championing the use of logistics systems (e.g., Kabal) and supporting user training
  • Providing operational support outside standard business hours when required
About You
You are an organised and effective communicator, capable of managing multiple priorities and stakeholders. You demonstrate sound technical ability as well as strong facilitation and interpersonal skills. Your background may include experience in offshore logistics, shore base, or vessel operations, and you possess a solid understanding of marine operations and compliance standards.

Key attributes include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine or Civil Engineering
  • Broad knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking and reconciliation processes
  • Competency with digital tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of logistics systems and willingness to support user training
  • Seagoing experience on offshore vessels is advantageous but not essential
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, especially in technical and business contexts
