The Organisation
Our client was founded in 1925 and has since grown to one of the countries largest commercial flooring contractors with an impressive portfolio. With an invaluable reputation in wholesale and retail their products for the construction industry consist of a broad range including timber flooring, accessories and vibration and noise control.


The Opportunity
An opportunity exists for a National Procurement and Product Manager to join their dedicated and enthusiastic team.
This is a new role created to:
  • Assist in strengthening relationships with stakeholders
  • Develop and test new products alongside the business unit
  • Improve strategies across all channels of purchasing, procurement, and development
  • Effectively manage inventory turnover
  • Lead two direct reports in QA and Administration
  • Ensure compliance with all quality assurance systems agreed by management
  • Train all staff in procurement, product development and quality procedures
  • Work to deadlines and collaborate with others at all levels
  • Keep up to date with all market trends
So if you have…

  • 10 years’ experience in a procurement role
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the construction industry
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree, MBA preferable
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to engage, foster and maintain relationships with suppliers
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Risk mitigator
  • Inventory and financial management skills
  • High analytic skills with effective strategic and reasoning skills
