Fire Safety Maintenance Project Officer

DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Maintenance Project Officer to support a NSW Government client on a short-term contract based in Parramatta.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with fire safety, compliance, or facilities experience to contribute to essential maintenance and compliance programs across a diverse government property portfolio.
The Role
You will support the delivery, quality assurance, and compliance of fire safety maintenance works to ensure statutory obligations and service delivery standards are met. Working within a collaborative project team, you will assist with research, reporting, coordination, and administrative functions that contribute to successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake quality and compliance checks of fire safety maintenance works
- Support project delivery to ensure alignment with business and service objectives
- Conduct research and analysis to inform project planning and improvements
- Prepare status reports, progress updates, and assist with budget tracking
- Coordinate meetings and maintain accurate project documentation
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and service providers
- Ensure adherence to relevant legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management, facilities management, or related discipline
- 2–4 years’ experience in fire safety, compliance, facilities management, or project coordination
- Strong understanding of industry standards and maintenance compliance requirements
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work under general supervision and exercise sound professional judgment
Contract Details
- Location: Parramatta
- Pay Rate: $69.89 – $77.37 per hour (PAYG or ABN)
- Duration: 02 March 2026 – 30 June 2026
- Full-time contract opportunity
